Any number of things can cause physical discomfort. It could be an old ski injury or an accident. It is often a result of obesity -- the excess weight being more than the joints can handle. Sometimes it’s caused by a sedentary life style. The afflicted areas are tender. Any stress hurts.
When you look at the causes, often simply consequences everyday living, and then couple them with the wrong foods in your diet, you compound the problem. This results in joint discomfort. You find yourself sitting when you’d rather be dancing.
Joint Advance is a shield of protection
Joint Advance is a unique advanced formula especially created with you in mind. There are many joint supplements on the market today. But Joint Advance is ahead of all of them because it has so many all-natural herbal ingredients. Order today and we’ll include a special bonus
We’ve put together a whole-body health guide, to help you on your way. Your diet is more <br>
important than you might think. Certain foods and liquids we drink are converted into acid ash during metabolism. This creates an acid condition. Acid tends to attack the weak areas of your body and create problems. Learn more on the How It Works Page
When you order Joint Advance, we’ll include your special Joint Protection Diet Guide. Most people don’t realize what happens to the food we eat and the liquid we drink after we swallow. We’ve never had to think about how it’s all metabolized in the body. With this Guide you’ll be well informed and able to eat with deliberate intention to aid your general health.
This guide will show you how some simple changes in what you eat and drink will help maintain healthy joints. You won’t need to starve yourself, and it’s not a weight reduction diet (although you might lose weight, too.) Among other things, you’ll find a list of foods to avoid, and foods you need to eat more of on a daily basis. You’ll also learn a quick, inexpensive way to test yourself to see if you are too “acid”.
The Joint Protection Diet Guide would ordinarily sell for $29.95, but we want you to download it for Free when ordering today. Order today.

Its better to use a piece of wood when hammering in the driveshaft to prevent damage. That is place the wood between the hammer and hit the wood rather than the drive shaft. i used a plastic toy hammer that i found in my son's room, did i damage the cv joint? please help guys it makes a clicking noise everytime i turn now. im scared i did some damage. my wife told me not to use the hammer but i couldnt find my own. pls help. Again never use a metal hammer,as this can damage the splines, if must, cover the end of shaft, with wood, or similar, or better still as mentioned, rubber / hide /copper hammer. Ive heard that your never supposed to hammer on the cv axle at least on hondas is that true ive never needed to hammer on them anyway just asking. you could damage the thread and the big axle nut goes on there. Then you will have to grind away the damaged thread. Great video man ,very well explained and good step by step procedure!! You should mention your name in the begining of every video, just a thought!! Graet video man. Thanks. I have learned several terms and their meaning as well as what they mean. athe 'how-to" part no longer seems intimidating. Thanks.I hope it goes this easy for me when I attempt to replace my cv joints this weekend. Great how to remove and how to install videos. Thank you for taking the time to provide them. it makes me giggle that people write comments on here telling this guy what he's doing wrong, but if they know so much about it, why are they looking up "how to" videos? well last time i did it, my friend was really showing me how to do it and i was helping, and i was looking for a refresher, i said this guy does it a strange way, a lot of people say wrong because they are dickweeds. I need this guy to come over & replace mine instead of taking it to a shop where they would scam me! lol! On 2nd thought, im taking a auto-repair course. :-). Oh,did i mention that you already dammaged that brand new part's joints by hitting it in with a steal hammer? that's right,by that hitting, you made dents in the joints wich will make the shaft ware out much sooner as should but hey...there's plenty more of them in the warehouse right? ;-). 1-by putting to much grease in a bearring, you actualy will kill itit works like this;the balls have to work to hard to roll tru the exxes grease, therefor, heat is created...a lot, wich makes the grease melt and eventualy runs away like a fluid, leaving the bearring without lubricant...it will fail shortly ;-) 2-you dont wanne hit a threaded end with a hammer, put a nut on it and tap on the nut, protecting the thread, otherwise you might end up having to repair the thread to be able to get the nut on. last time i did mine (99 buick lesabre) i added grease (before winter) now that its hot as hell here in canada, it all melted out, and it's squeaking like a mother fucker, im hoping ill make it to work tomorrow and im going to buy one after and replace it, but hell this guy does it a strange way.
This was the most stupid thing I ever seen. It`s fine to show others how to do it but you have to do it right! First of all, you don`t use hammer on it, ever!! and the seccond, you don`t need to hammer it anyway, just push it in and give it a little tap with the axel it selfe. you don`t need to hammer it at all. Before you teach others, make sure you know what you are doing first.
Thanks, Nate. We appreciate the info. If possible please try to put one topic all into one video, similar to how Scotty Kilmer does it. Great videos otherwise, just a bit difficult to watch 5-10 videos for each repair.
You were awesome right up to the point of beating threaded end of the shaft with a ballpien hammer...Ouch ouch ouch!!! Atleast put the nut on it. Then soften the blows with a piece of wood so you don't jack the threads.
This guy probably does this repair more times in a week than we do in a lifetime. Doesn't take a genius to use ANY type of hammer. He FULLY explains about ensuring splines are seated properly PRIOR to matricating the shaft. I appreciate him taking the time to help inexperienced guys like me. Additional suggestions are fine but instead of berating his technique how about a little appreciation and any additional HELPFUL comments instead. I appreciate his time and effort FOR FREE people.
I am good at disassembling and assembling a computer...but I would like to know how you do the same thing with a car! :P Yeah! My CV Joint is broken to hahahaha.
For all of you do-it-Yourselfers out there, don't hit the end of your axle with a steel hammer, that could possibly damage your spline at the end. Thereby not allowing it to seat in your rotor.
I have a 1993 Honda civic Dx and the lock pin on the trans end of the shaft is not going in, doesn't feel like it's setting in right, what do you recommend?
2 MrLyndonBushnell Umm... the CV joints are the parts of the shaft that you can't see for the grease boots. You buy new CV axles, and the CV joints are already on them... 2 0:06 "A broken CV joint, also known as a drive shaft" The CV joint is PART of the drive shaft, but is not the drive shaft. The drive shaft actually has two CV joints attached to it You should also grease the splines before putting it together, no protect the splines and to make them easier to put in/take out. I've never had to drive a shaft on with a hammer. That's a good way to mushroom the threaded end of that spline and make it hard (or impossible) to get the CV nut on.BUY A REMAN!Waste of time, chance of dirt and crud that is still inside. You save time buying a reman axle.Tighen the axle nut with an impact instead of torqueing it down with a torque wrench, you will not over tighten the axle nut which is 100% impossible and not do damage to the wheel bearing.Torquing the axle nut to spec is impossibe to. I do not believe he hit the drive shaft's end with a hammer. That could damage the treads at the end of the shaft.farrkkkkk i just repalced my cv joint on my toyota supra started at 10 till abit ago and its not this easy...Be careful not to get your finger pinched between the cv shaft and the hub...I did that as I was taking the shaft out of the hub to change the bearing and it hurts like hell. it's better to plunge the driveshaft in to the gearbox as this won't damage the splines or the joint that inserts into the hub.
Yeh, stay away from expert villiage search for realfixesrealfast, Scotty Kilmer they will help you ALOT. muchas gracias amigo ya encontre el fallo era los cauchos de la barra estabilizadora y los pivotes de la misma gracias. Rear wheel drive cars kicks front wheels drive cars ass!!! i hate front wheel many models are great but somehow are frnt wheels. NEVER USE A METAL hammer, you could easily damage the splines on the axle, use a rubber or plastic mallet. This guy is hot. And I don't see a wedding ring. I just wish he hadn't said "shaft" so much.Followed every video, to the letter and presto. great presentation, clear instructions and explanations. thanks so much. I have a 97 Saturn SL1 that needs the CV joint replaced on the passenger side as well. Will it come out the same way as the one you did in this video? I've replaced everything on a car before but never had to replace a CV joint. I need to make sure how it comes out first. Last time I worked on a car, I ended up with broken bones. It wasn't the car, just that I slipped while working on the car. An already natural fear now has me researching everything before starting. Thanks for the help.
To do this repair? Keep it in park (or 1st w/ standard), though that won't stop the wheel from rotating.
I was thinking the same thing! I work on cars a lot myself, but have been far more intimitated by this job. Thanks to expertvillage for posting these great videos! Not as barbaric as when I whaled on mine with a 4 foot long steel pipe! Just kidding, I did it with a scrap of wood over the axle end and a carpentry hammer. My Haynes manual said "slide it in gently" and I was like, you've got to be kidding! I had to pry the hell out of it just to get it out and I can see it's not going all the way back in without some "assistance"! LOL. i USE A OLD SHIRT AROUND THE HAMMER ITs SOFTNER. aN HIT NOT AT THE BEGINNING. Slide it gently??, I think they lubed that is way goes more gently. Do you lubeit? **Use a dead-blow hammer (or a regular hammer with a scrap piece of wood) to tap the cv shaft onto the stub shaft!! You can damage the cv joints otherwise!**. Actually, what the manual says is to do the tapping at the outer race of the inner joint. That way you aren't pounding directly on the bearings. The force is only directed through the outer race, which is really a housing of sorts. It's called finese. When all else fails, read the instruction manual. The drive shaft is one of those areas that you don't want to screw up in any way. Do it right and it will last another 200,000 miles.Does anyone know how to find all the flv's in this series? Is there a good way to find them all?uh yea... i have low profiles on my car and i wiped out in the snow today and his a curb and my whole front left tire is under my car. This guy is good...he makes it look entirely too easy...Im about to go in the garage and tear my car up now.

You can break it by yanking on the end of the stuck piece. Like i just said wrap a cable to the back of the stuck piece like a lasso and yank it a few times it should jerk out. tried yanking it...didnt work... my dad wrapped a 1/8 inch braid steel cable around the back and clamped it with a vice grip and yanked the cable... took a couple tries but it worked.
Wow, he's got strong arm. Wish mine was that strong so I could "yank" it out of the intermediate shaft.
Did a new CV Axle job in 30 minutes. I pulled using this method and it came into two peices lol. I ended up prying the shaft out of the transmission. This video shows you how to remove the complete Drive shaft not a CV Joint. And I never had a drive shaft come out so easily.have u ever hard of using a slide hammer to pull a cv joint out? I am thinking about buying one but dont' know the size of hammer I would need : 5 lb or 7 lb. any ideas ? I have a CV joint puller/removal tool to pull the CV joint out without removing the shaft from the vehicle. expert village is useless...i need to know how to replace the boot properly not disassemble the whole fucken thing. If you can save your self a few hundred bucks, then go for it F the $65-$95 per hour labor charges,I'd rather do it myself cursing as needed!! HAHAHAH...the video pauses, he was just saying if you're lucky, it'll just come out without the prybar but he uses one to break it.Please do not listen to anything this guy says. I haven't watched many of his videos, but so for they are not the "proper" way. Good luck removing and axle like this. Haha "sometimes you are able to give it a tug and it'll come right out" huh! i guess that pry bar was just coinsidentally laying right under where the axle meets the trans. These videos don't need to be entertaining, u stupid TV zombie. Expertvillage guy saved me hundreds of dollars on u-joints, ball joints, etc. If you want to be entertained, go back to your favorite programs, "Let 3 Fagz Redecorate Your House"; "Dancing With A Feminized Ex NFL Player"; or "Trapped On An Island with 5 Other Bitches". The only problem I have is when after a repair job with brake he said with Spongebob laughshit, "Stroke the brakes until they're hard" with a snide, gaay smirk. I am more surprised that someone with 45 years experience working on cars, therefore at least 60 years of age, knows what BTW actually stands for..Not so easy...if ya give it a yank ya got 2 peices then ya need a crow bar REDNECK STYLE WITH CHEATER BARS AND LOTS OF LOSING YOUR RELIGION. YOU WILL CURSE GOD AND ASK GOD FOR HELP. IT TAKES TWO HILLTICKS FOR THIS JOB. what a waste of time removing the bottom ball joint. So much quicker to take the two bolts off the top of the hub the connects the supension strut. I took out my CV joint today, it took 15 minutes, using a hammer, a flathead screw driver, and a rag. Depending on how worn and how old your CV joint is, it may be able to be pulled out, or "pried" out. Haha. '91 Civic Hatch, with the same one for 19 years? Definitely has to be pried.advice for anyone who are having problems prying out CV joints: longer pry bars are not always better. if you're using a long pry bar that's giving and bending as you're trying to drive a stubborn, inner CV joint out, try using a pickle fork/ball joint separator (or even a super industrial thick pry bar if there are any) instead and maybe a heavier hammer too. the fourth time i've taken out a CV axle, a friend had me try this and i was amazed out how easily my inner CV joint slid out. just to add on, apparently you can use a pickle fork and drive into it too. my mechanic friend and i were changing out my passenger side inner CV seal of my Corolla, and there was no good pry spot for getting the inner joint out so he just "drove" into it using the slopes of the fork to get it out. my friend may not be able to hold 10 pounds over his head for very long, but 50 years of experience outweighs it. i know CV axles can be a major pain on some cars so hopefully this can help.
this guy really shouldnt be workin on cars. u dont snatch a cv joint out like that cus its a cup desighn on the inside and ball and cage on the outer side and another fact theres no need to take the balljoint lose from spindle in most vehicles u simply remove the 2 strut bolt and lean the spindle down and pull cv axle out from rotor u also dont allow the entire weight of the spindle assembly to pull on the break line like he does. Actually, the guy knows what he's doing. I know that because I've been working on cars myself for 45 years. BTW, I would suggest that you learn how to spell and also basic punctuation, capitalization, and grammar. How can you even survive being illiterate? how can you tell when this part is failing. my car sounds wonderful engine wise. and shifts smoothly and has no problems with the transmission but. when i hit higher speeds and only when i throttle it.. it feels like I'm riding on a railroad track. I had the exact symptoms and when I got under it, it was a bad cv joint. I am assuming your car is also a front wheel drive. I did it myself, but I am a die hard DIY person. If you have never removed ball joints(both upper and lower) or tie-rods, then you may want to bring it to someone. You're definitely right. The best bay to take it out is to pry it out of the midshaft or tranny with a prybar or screwdriver.lol...funny how he makes it look as if it was that easy to yank the shaft out of the transmission...lolol. Definetly not that easy to 'yank' a shaft. Ive done this several times and every one of them... not easy.
If you noticed that video paused for a sec, then he pulled the shaft right out. That's because it took him 3 hours of pulling to get it to come loose, then he started the video again. yeah it's the bearings inside, they grip on ridges inside a drum, without grease the drum dries out inside and those ridges get worn of by friction, resulting in the bearings (ball bearings) slipping over the top- when you turn, the angle of the bearings changes slightly, so allows them to skip over- they can also jam up totally, in which case you could have a broken axle and god knows what other damage :P for a $5 piece of rubber thats totally unneccessary-. ya my cv joint/ drive shaft has to joints so when u pull it the inner joint just comes apart so how can u take it off?...i tried everything still cant get it off?!~please help! yeah the way he shows is wrong, you need to go under the car, right up to the transmission and pry it away from the engine- use a screw driver or something and try not to damage the surface- also use jack stands under a structural part of the car, i've seen cars get bumped while on jacks, and the jack fail and collapse- it's usually sucked on to the transmission-.
On my 85 Sentra you could not pry it. You needed a dent puller(weight on shaft) with vice grips attached to get the inner part out.

Comments about this video: Are you kidding me? You breezed right through that... awesome. My 2005 Golf TDI needs a driver side CV boot (possible entire axle). I can see that the boot is nearly gone. If I had all the tools, I'd do it myself. The symptoms my Golf has right now is significant vibration when the accelerator is pressed. Could the boot/axle in the current state cause that much vibration? I have a mk6 and I was wondering if it's possible to remove just the inner side (transmission side) of the axle without removing the axle bolt from the hub?
Wow im gonna tackle this job this weekend..I thought it was much harder then this..thanks for the info! I watched this video yesterday and went home to change out both axles in 3 hours. The hardest part was the axle nut which I expected. I like the idea of spray painting the ball joint to keep the alignment in place. Though I still will get an alignment, this gives me some breathing room until I get it done. Thank you for the video. Awesome job!what air impact wrench are you using btw? would an electric impact wrench with max torque of 360 ft-lb be enough to do the job? Thanks.it's a husky 500 ft/lbs You can also remove it if you loosen the nut before lifting the wheel off the ground, you'll need a breaker bar. Good vid, ill have to use this soon. Found my driver side CV busted as i'm doing the clutch/flywheel/pressure plate replacement. Do you know where I might be able to find a DIY video on re-installing the manual transmission on the MK Jetta VR6? Does anyone know the torque specs for a 12v vr6 mkiv for the triple sqaure bolts? Great video man keep up the good work. What's the difference between a CV boot and a CV joint? My cv boots need to be replaced but how do I know if my joint needs to be replaced as well? Thanks. CV boot is just the rubber boot that covers the CV joint. If that tears, the grease can run out of it, or water can get inside and screw the joint up. Your CV joint might make noise when turning if it needs to be replaced. One thing you might want to suggest, if the person doing the work doesn't have an impact tool is to break the axle nut loose while the wheel is still on, and the car is on the ground.
Also you can protect the axle nut threads with a bit of tape if you're worried about messing them up when inserting into the hub. You might be able to not disturb the suspension by turning the wheel 3/4 of the way, move the inside CV joint into some space either to the left or right, and then wiggle out the front CV joint. Also you should pull out the ABS sensor slightly to avoid damaging it. thanks for the vid buddy i have to do this tomorrow i have a 2000 audi 1.8t quattro we found the cv off my car when we were goin to the store 4 of 6 bolts on i put it back on so i could get home as i was thinking about y it fell off i noticed there was no loc tightner on any of the bolts im buyin new bolts tomoro is there anything else i have to do one iv re installed these bolts i have grees to to back in vw audi grees my email is 2001hardtop2 gmail.com thanks buddy subscribed and liked :). very useful video, thanks! the Haynes workshop manual did a really poor job of explaining, somthis was just the ticket. just wish i had an impact driver rather than spending an hour und the car cursing and skinning my knuckles :). Hey i did all the steps except i forgot to loosen the 6 triple sqaure bolts so i had to put the car on the first gear so it stop spining, anywayz now i got the axle cup stuck in the transmission i cant get it out the axle is broken and the cup is stuck to the transmission flange and there isn't any way so i can use a hammer or pry bar to push it out HELP ME ASAP PLEASEEEEE !!! excuse me I did the same repair today but I ran to whole bunch of problems to take it of I catched hell tryng to pull the axle off the wheel bearing when I unscrewed them 6 bolts way back by the transmission the axle spins while am unscrewing or tighten them bolts I had to use a pipe wrench to hold the axle while unscrewing but the main problem I have is the axle thick front screw that goes in to the bearing its not going all that way in just the very tip of it do you know why?Had mine changed on a TDi, used your vid to research it. the replacement that my mate fitted its very stiff and noisey when cold. do you have to grease it all up before fitting? or do you think something else is the problem?i'm doing the job on an 2004 VR6. Everything's unbolted but the axel is seized up in the rotor. I'm at a do-it-yourself auto shop and they have a pusher tool but it it's too small. I tried using a mallet to push it out but it's not working. Tried using break free but it's also not working. Any suggestions?I'm replacing a CV joint on my '04 VR6 tomorrow. Your video is a helpful way to prepare for the job. I appreciate it! I just need to figure out the torque for the bolts. Any pointers on how to fix the engine temperature gauge? Mine started failing intermittently. The gauge randomly started dropping to no temp reading, then suddenly goes directly to the expected reading. More recently, the reading intermittently only reaches half of the expected normal reading.i got my vw polo gti on 2000 plate on coilovers and its nocking it tits of when i turn is that c v joints? if so is it the same to do as this?hey nice vid...is the ball joint bolted in from the factory? or is it riveted, Im doing this job for a friend but I havent had a chance to look at it, Im hoping the bolts are factory, thanks.I have a 2003 Jetta 1.8T and need to replace the passenger side CV axle - would I do it the same way? Also, what are you using to jack the car up? Thanks! I have a problem with my 2002 jetta 1.8t the left front tire is making a strange noise and im not sure if i have to replace the wheel bearing. thanks for sharing. I have the same car. there is a lot of vibrations when I reach 80 km/h. what may be the issue?Wheel balancing is the first place to look at for sure, then ask the tire guy to check for any bulges in the tire or play in the steering rack. Also if you have alloy wheels and you have buckled it on the curb, this could be a problem also. Good luck bro. on my 1998 mark 4 golf the glovebox handle has broken off by my friend yesterday night its a black plastic handle with a lock on it do i need to buy a new lid or just change the handle. That is a good question, I will find that out for you because that must be a common problem. However if you do end up changing the glove box, check out my glove box removal tutorial, quick, easy steps.. A good, clear video, Rodriguez. None of the usual waffle that you get from other people telling us their life story ! Thanks. Great video, and I appreciate being so thorough with the install. Video's like this will keep peoples money in their pockets with learning how to DIY.You're my hero. I tossed a car once for that repair. This time I'm going to have some tools. Last two cars I have had didn't get good results from local repair shops or were too expensive or I ran out of tows. hopefully, not this time fast and furious...military auto pool..life is too short to worry about crappy money, men, and machines.Good job my friend you just forgot to say what the torque is on those bolts but really help full your video. just tried to do this today. when i got to the final step (around minute 8) to tighten 3 three screws, the shock absorber and metal spring expanded so I couldn't push it up to align it, put it in slot and put in the 3 screws. what did I miss? If you don't lift BOTH front wheels off the ground, the swaybar will be "loaded" keeping the A-arm on the side you're working on too high. My Haynes manual and some other sources state that the wheel should be installed and the car on the ground before torquing the axle nut. Any reason for doing it that way?Yes, you can't "torque" it if the hub is spinning. The hub will spin if you don't have the tire installed and touching the ground. In the video you say " Torque everything down to spec and then put the tire back on". But I think the reasoning is more to align the shaft in proper riding goemetry before the axle nut is tightened to spec.?My GTI has alloy rims with the axle nut covered by the rim. The only way to take on and off the axle nut is with the wheel removed. (Have someone step on the brakes.) Also the "triple-square" bolts used on the inner flange is 8mm on MKIIs, but is 12mm on my MKIV GTI.Correction - The triple squares are 10mm not 12mm on the MKIV GTI. And, no need to remove the three 13mm bolts underneath. Just remove the one lower sway bar bolt and swing the link up and away and the axle comes right out there. Can any one post the Torque specs for M10 inner CV, 13mm and the 30mm? Please or any idea where to find it. Thanks you all. M10 : 59 Ft-lbs 13mm: Step 1: 15Ft-lbs, Step 2: turn an additional 90 degrees. 30mm Axel nut: 221Ft-lbs, or put a cheater pipe on a breaker bar and stand on that som-bitch!
I'm also concerned about getting those three bolts under the ball joint out. There's a nice chunk of metal in the way for one of them. Anyone know how to approach that one? I'm replacing my 04 Jetta TDI left axle, this will be very helpful. I am concerned about getting the original axle off the hub, and properly putting grease on the diff side of the axle. Could someone explain in detail how to do these things properly? This step helps me alot. I'm trying to drop a transmission and needed to loosen up the strut bolts at the bottom to free the cv axle ran out ot time for the day.
hey, you did a vid on glass headlight lens replacement. you got any contact info for where you got the glass from? My wife's 05 passat could use some glass treatment on her old, tired headlights. this is a good video senor Rodriguez now i need some help changing my lower arms control from a 2000 vw cabrio idk if you could post somethng about that thnxs!! I replaced my control arms about a month ago. I have a MK4 jetta GLI (not sure how its different from a cabrio) and it was the three bolts that he removed in this video plus the sway bar endlink and two bolts going to the subframe and a swift kick to pop it off, lol. Pretty easy job, overall.
good job bud,i did'nt no this job was so easy i,ve had two replaced on my V5 by my mechanic i think from now i'll be doing it myself. You shouldn't be using normal sockets with an impact wrench, they can crack apart and explode in your face/penis. Impact sockets (black ones) won't.Great video man. Very helpful and clear, I am going to try this tomorrow when my new axle comes in. Thanks again. Hey Rod,I need to replace the cv drive shaft or the front outer cv joint. Is it the same procedure for a 1999 A6 audi 4 wheel drive?
